Manager Salary: Between R458 – R480k p/a cost to company
Responsibilities: Customer Related -Support the Country Manager to maintain lines of communication with Bankers, Investors, the Group local and international teams.
Process Related -Manage projects submissions and ensure quality of documentation are maintained and submissions are compliant and correct. Secure timeous returns from internal and external stakeholders in support of the above.

Responsible for fulfilling statutory and RFP requirements during tender processes. Manage and maintain control over projects during a tender process, from bid processes through financial close. Manage the documentation aspects of global projects as required by the Group Drafting, reviewing, finalizing submission documentation in line with the various international bids and projects. Bid Preparation execution and submission. Manage relationships with partners to the process.

Monitor and control quality and filing of bid returnable documents and schedules. Create, support, and maintain up to date projects folders, for all ongoing and future opportunities. Assures bid documentation is effectively and correctly backed up on company servers.
Personnel -Management of team assistants or any other staff members assigned to you for management purposes. Ensuring the maintenance of professional standards with regards to standard of work performed, conduct, complying with standard company policy, such as dress code, working hours, etc.
Bid Development – Market research, Analyze RFQs, RFPs and RFIs and teasers to create proposal outlines and development plans. Coordinating and directing proposal kickoff and debrief meetings, as well as prepare detailed proposal plans, schedules, templates, and compliance matrices for all phases of proposal development, flagging any potential risks or compliance issues.

Facilitating multi-disciplined groups in brainstorming and developing solutions to key aspects of the proposal providing tactical advice and guidance with the ability to drive strategy and solutions that result in winning submissions. Soliciting management reviews and approvals during proposal development. Monitoring proposal content to ensure compliance to RFP requirements, evaluation criteria, and requirements. Leading and/or supporting the development and submission of winning bid responses by working with the bid team, advisors and contractors, as required.

Engaging with various external stakeholders and advisors. Maintaining, augmenting, and improving library of reusable components, templates, and processes to reduce response time and improve quality on future bids. Informing Business development manager of strategy research. Ensuring that bid documents are completed within the stipulated timeframes and deadlines. Maintaining bid database and bid information for easy use by internal staff. Tracking consistently bids and proposals on the company bid tracking database. Co-ordinating the application process for registration with clients / vendor and database registrations. Following-up consistently with clients on bid evaluation outcomes and bid de-briefings.

Providing weekly/monthly reports on bids, as required.

Reporting to the Business Manager you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out the necessary activities for the start and follow-up of new ground mounted and floating PV projects.
• Identifies tender opportunities in order to secure Power Purchase agreement with Government, industrial/mining companies or private corporations.
• Bid preparation and co-ordination in order to ensure compliant bids.
• Support the Business Development team during tender submissions, assessing the inputs to the financial model.
• Assisting in the management of the any RFP (procurement) process. Due diligence of prospective solar development project acquisitions to determine project feasibility.
• Preparing the offers and analyzing them with the Development Manager.
• Giving support in the negotiation processes.
• Managing relations with Administration.
• Maintaining the registration and monitoring of the projects progress on internal platforms.
• Effective internal and external stakeholder engagement and relationship management, including engagement with contractors and local delegates.
• Providing support to the Business Development team on development of all projects at different stages of the project lifecycle.
  General -The responsibilities outline the duties that are typically performed by the jobholder. The SA Country Manager might assign additional duties from time to time.

Minimum requirements:

• Experience with government REIPPP tendering processes, regulations and structuring of proposals for evaluation.
• Experience with international tendering processes and requirements.
• Knowledge of local and international bid submissions High proficiency with MS Office Excel and Word, Power Point, Google Earth.
• Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Business Administration, Project Management, Supply Chain Management or relevant field.
• At least 5 years of bid coordination, grant submission or tendering experience, managing end to end bid/ tender processes.
