Job Description:

To support integrated solutions combining management and strategy, technology and engineering, digital, financing, and implementation capabilities to help clients accelerate their transformation across all decarbonization levers. The Senior Manager efficiently supports the expansion of the business, and brings the highest standard of consulting services to clients. You will focus on supporting clients in their sustainability journey from the strategy design, to implementation and financing. As a Senior Manager, you will be working across all levels of the client and organisations with responsibility for managing complex projects, originating new business, bringing differentiated ideas, developing new offers and bringing value to the client.
You will be more particularly in charge of:

• Oversee the delivery of an entire engagement, coordinating all project streams and stakeholders (Client, internal, other group entities,…), with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural dimensions.
• Identify other opportunities for the company and wider group along the project delivery path.
• Ensure program is effectively delivered, on time, on budget and with the expected quality.
• Manage project staffing needs & requirements.
• Be accountable for project financials.
• Animate the key milestones of the project through client meetings, workshops and engagements.
• Present a clear and convincing storyline addressed to the C-suite level.
• Participate to the project delivery bringing your own expertise of the sector (technical, economic).
  Commercial and business development
• Be accountable for delivering sales targets in coordination with the Segment Manager.
• Develop a deep understanding of client’s needs to design/review sustainability strategy offerings tailored to the needs of the clients.
• Originate business, bring value to proposals, align product/offering strategy with the overall offering portfolio, ensuring profitability and competitivity of the offers in the segment.
• Stay up to date with the group capacity to offer new and innovative services to the clients.
• Support the creation of marketing content & campaigns for segment.
• Promote the company by building and developing a strong network, attending key events regarding sustainable transition.

Team management 

• Undertake line management responsibilities (when required).•Manage Analysts and Consultants and contribute to their skills development through coaching, mentoring and feedback.
• Seek ways to share your knowledge to accelerate the team members’ learning.
• Contribute to the creation of a high performing team.
• Ensure that the Analysts and Consultants meet deadlines and standards of quality for their deliverables.

Qualifications

• You have a Master’s degree or MBA from a high-ranked Business School or Engineering School.
• You have at least 8 years of experience in strategic consulting including sales and business development.
• You have at least 3 years of experience in consulting, advisory and sustainability.
• You speak German fluently.
• You are recognized as an expert in sustainability in one or more sectors including (consumer goods, logistics, retail, logistics and buildings).
• You have strong Strategic Advisory skills – ability to synthesize a complex matter and to assertively present analyses to senior executives. Experience in high ranked strategic consulting firms is a plus.
• You are experienced in managing large multi-disciplinary projects with multi-cultural teams and have strong project management skills.
• You have technical, economic, regulatory expertise in topics relevant to sustainability transformation: energy, mobility, carbon accounting, circular economy, water and waste management, climate change resilience, digital.
• You have strong business development and commercial capacities and are able to detect or generate opportunities.
• You have a good network of existing contacts across the public and private sector.
• You are a strong team-player.
• You are able to work in autonomy and you anticipate risks.
• You are a people developer: talent development, experience and insights sharing, empathy are key.
