Business Development Manager. Candidates need to have a strong background in the Hybrid Micro-Grid market, CHP systems and their integration into brownfield installations. Solar photovoltaic systems and battery energy systems is also highly desirable.
The role has detailed bid and proposal development as a core requirement and calls for 5-7 years experience and the client is really keen to find someone who is happy to learn and get their hands dirty via delivering a number of bids from the ground up. The client is also very keen to add to the diversity targets in AusPac and so female candidates would be extremely welcome.
The position will be based in Adelaide within the Australia business office and headquarters for the Australia/Pacific business operations. Reporting to the Managing Director, this is a full-time role with a 3-month probation period. The successful candidate is expected to travel regularly within Australia and on occasion to international destinations. The remuneration comprises of base salary, bonuses related to company performance, and annual equity options.
Position Description: Business Development Manager for the Australian Business to work collaboratively with the Sales and Engineering teams, to identify new opportunities and grow the business. The Business Development Manager will develop winning engagement strategies and binding offers, to secure long term energy supply contracts to support the company investment in distributed renewable power systems, predominantly for the mining, industrial and agricultural sectors.
Role description: This is a unique position at a high potential, fast-growing, independent power producer whose mission is to decarbonize the world’s supply chains. This position will report to the Managing Director, Australia and will engage with clients in the mining, industrial, agricultural, and remote community segments in Australia. The candidate will also have solid experience in client relationship management, the development of new markets and sectors across Australia, responding to corporate RFPs, and formal tender processes, reviewing and negotiating contract terms, working with Engineering Support, and modelling financial returns for power projects.
This role is focused on driving the business in the rapidly growing hybrid micro-grid market segment for customers across Australia. You need to have knowledge of energy service delivery and be familiar with the Australian resources sector. You must thrive in an environment of constant change, tight time limits and deadlines, and take ownership of delivering sales and customer acquisition. Be truly “inspired” by working in an entrepreneurial environment and be comfortable taking on responsibilities outside of your immediate prerogative.
